To start frankly, I entered my career by a late of three to four years  As I had already mentioned that I had lost 2 years due to transition from Calcutta to our native village where there were no school, even a Primary one, during WWII. Hence I was running short of two years from my career. Secondly, I lost one year for want of planning  of my career by taking a service in ISI. Actually I entered service after passing M.Sc. in Pure Mathematics, at the age of 26 in 1959 in Bajali College and 27 in A.P.C.College , Newbarrackpore. Normally, one starts his career at the age of 22-23.
 I did not want  get married earlier because of a request of  my younger sister Mantu,  not to get married before her marriage,who was very close to me and was  my friend , philosopher and guide till her marriage, . She was married to one of my colleague , Arun Dasgupta, , by her own

choice, in 1963. Our friendship with Mantu grew deep and deeper  since I was a student of B.Sc. in 1953-55.  She was a bit extrovert and came closure to me year by year. We were in the habit of exchanging our feelings between ourselves.
I had three sisters, one elder, Sachi (right, pic left) and  two younger, Mantu (left) and Dalu (2nd from left in pic left). Both the younger sisters were very close to me. but the youngest one was a bit introvert and always kept herself close to ( pic -right)Mantu (chordi as she called her) and put anything on query on chordi's shoulder by saying, "chordi jane" (chordi knows it).
We came to Madhyamgram sometimes in 1958/59 when I passed M.Sc. and doing tutions .  Mantu was reading in B.A. in Surendranath College, Calcutta,and Dalu in P.U in Sarojini College, Dumdum.
Myself and Mantu went everyday to Calcutta by train, early in the morning , at about 6 AM by Bongaon local because her College usually started at 7 AM. We had our previous rented residence where I would have taken rest in the noon. I took my lunch in a mess  of our ex-teacher , Abinash Babu,of Bowbazar High School, by a mutual arrangements. From morning till night I was coaching students od different classes from S.F. to B.Sc. At that time I had 5-6 tuitions, distributed in morning and evening. At the noon time, I used to read news papers and applying for jobs Ultimately I got one in Bajali College , Pathsala. and joined in August , 1959.
